Problem: Possible Solution:
Controls out of range
  • Expired Controls, Check Exp. Date
  • Expired Reagents: check expiration date.
  • Possible Dilutor problem: Check dilutor with pipette for proper dilutor values.
  • Possible contaminated tubing or aperture: Bleach or decontaminate machine with manufacturers suggested cleaning agent. Allow sufficient decontamination time.
  • Controls not at room temperature or not mixed properly at time of dilution: Retry controls after 20 minutes at room temperature.
  • Possible calibration problem: Recalibrate machine with clinical calibrator
