Problem: Possible Solution:
Unit won't start
  • Safety switch on lid not actuating, check for bent switch
  • Wall outlet is dead, check wall outlet with another device like a lamp or fan etc.
  • Check for blown fuse on centrifuge if applicable.
  • Possible timer problem/ If mechanical, lubricate with spray lubricant or contact cleaner.
Unit vibrates excessively
  • Unit is unbalanced, balance load with a counter weight opposite the tube being processed. If tube is already in place it should have equal weight to the tube being processed; add water to counter-balance as needed.
  • Possible feet missing from bottom of unit; check and replace as needed.
  • Unit being operated on unleveled surface. Relocate unit to level surface.
Unit is very noisy
  • Possible foreign body under rotor head. Empty unit and invert until foreign body is freed.
