Here's a list of common problems and solutions involving Defibrillators. If you don't see the answer to your question here, please call Precise Biomedical at 216-351-6011 and ask to speak to one of our staff engineers.
 
Problem: Possible Solution:
Unit won't power up:
  • Possible dead wall outlet--check outlet with another device such as a lamp, etc.
  • Possible dead battery. Charge battery for at least 12 hours and try again.
  • Unit charged for at least 12 hours and won't hold a charge: call Precise for replacement battery.
  • Possible blown fuse, check and replace fuse if applicable.
  • Possible bad charge button. Most machines have more than one charge button. Try the different charge button.
  • Possible insufficient battery power to charge capacitors. Charge batteries and try again.
  • Possible bad capacitors in unit. Call Precise for additional tech support @ 216-351-6011.
Unit won't discharge:
  • Possible bad paddle switch. Place paddles in base and select discharge on selector. Call Precise for additional tech support @ 216-351-6011
Heart Monitor won't function:
  • Check status or battery for heart monitor portion. Change battery if necessary. Possible new batteries required if they don't take a change. Order new batteries from Precise BioMedical.
Trace is wandering or poor quality:
  • Possible new PT Cable needed. Possible bad electrodes. Replace electrodes and try trace again.
