Wandering base line
  • Possible bad sensor or poor sensor contacts check or replace sensors.
  • Possible unequal amount of electrolyte material on each sensor if applicable.
  • Possible skin condition or oily skin, excessive perfume or baby powder. Have patient clean upper chest.
  • Possible excessive hair causing poor sensor contact, shave sensor location.
  • Possible heavy or very rapid breathing. Engage machine filters
  • Possible dirty connection between patient cable and sensor clips. Remove all clips clean and replace.
Severe A.C. interference
  • Possible bad ground in wall outlet or on machine, if unit is battery operated then use battery power. Ground machine using ground stud on back of machine, connect to metal that is already grounded such as water pipe etc.
  • Possible heavy equipment on same line. Try plugging unit in somewhere else or turn off any other device such as centrifuge or electro surgery unit etc. Patient cable should be arranged to follow body contours.
Light low amplitude interference
  • Possible muscle tremor caused by nervous patient or cold patient or inaduquate patient support. Correct patient problems as needed or engage A.C Filters and muscle filters if available.
  • Possible broken patient cable. Call Precise for immediate replacement.
  • Possible flourescent light or wiring interference. Engage machine filters.
Stylus thrashes violently, Baseline is interrupted.
