Problem: Possible Solution:
Unit is inaccurate:
  • If unit is mercurial, remove coiled extension cord from base of unit, mercury should be at zero. If below or above replace mercury tube.
  • If unit is aneroid style, make sure dial reads zero when extension tube is removed. If not replace aneroid dial.
Pressure bleeds off before valve is opened on bulb:
  • Using a hemostat, pinch coiled extension tubing at the junction where the cuff is attached. If unit stops leaking then, the problem is in the bladder or in the bulb. If the unit continues to leak, then the problem is in the coiled extension tubing. Call Precise for replacements parts @ 216-351-6011
